On 12th November 2017,  Mytime Active's award-winning music programme ArtsTrain was invited by Serious Events and the EFG London Jazz Festival to take a group of 25 young people to perform at the Southbank Centre as part of the ‘Next Generation Takes Over’ event.

ArtsTrain secured the headline slot, performing to a packed venue just before jazz legend Marcus Miller.

Take a behind the scenes look at the young people in action:

On November 13th, we hosted our own event to celebrate the 25th year of the EFG London Jazz Festival. The event was held at The Churchill Theatre and provided a platform to showcase local young people’s extraordinary original music.

"I have recently left care and this song is a chance for me to celebrate what I have achieved and look forward to what the future holds."
