With lots of myths about Coronavirus circulating, it can be difficult to keep up with what is and isn't true. To help you make sense of it all, ukactive have busted some of the common myths about going to the gym.

There is no evidence Covid-19 is spread through sweat.

Surfaces of equipment
Covid-19 can stay on certain surfaces for two-three days. However these surfaces can be cleaned and cleaning services have been increased.
Hot and humid areas
There is no evidence that Covid-19 is more transmittable in a hot, humid climate than any other climate.
Swimming pools
There is no evidence that Covid-19 can spread to humans through the water of swimming pools.
Gym cleanliness
Gyms have always maintained high levels of cleanliness and will continue to do so once they reopen.
Additionally
Physical activity leads to an improved immune system.
