Chef success in Tower Hamlets

Columbia Road in East London is known for its great shops and flower market. Now, five new local mini-chefs have also staked their claim to fame!

Their talent was discovered during a cooking session for the MEND 7-13 programme at Columbia Road Primary School.

Specialist dietitian Ana Ramos and PA leader Deeba Khan set a challenge to the children and their parents, asking them to cook a healthy meal on a budget.

The result was a brilliant success, with dinner and dessert for five children and parents created – all for under £15. Congratulations to all concerned!

The 7-13 programme at Columbia Road is a great example of how Mytime Active's MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition...Do it!) programme empowers children and adults to make choices and change their behaviour to reach or maintain a healthy weight.
