Over 800 Santas run the streets of Bromley
Bromley town centre was taken over by 800 Santas on Sunday 30th November for Mytime Active’s annual Santa Dash.
Over 800 locals of all ages braved the winter weather in full Santa suits to take part in the festive event that sets out to encourage all the family to get active during the festive period whilst having a lot of fun.
The Dash kicked off Bromley Council’s Christmas Festival in the town centre which included a Christmas Parade, the Christmas light switch on and many more activities up and down the high street.
Rob Drinkwater, Mytime Active Sports and Events Manager said, "I would like to thank everyone that helped make this event the success it was – our partners and of course, those that took part in the dash on what was a very cold day. It was wonderful to see so many families and friends getting active and having fun together."
Mytime Active's funding and involvement in the event is just one of many ways that the organisation invests in to the local community and facilities throughout Bromley.
"The Santa dash, festive entertainment and lights switch on in Bromley town centre provided a spectacular day for everyone who braved the cold to enjoy their town and have fun with their families. We would like to extend our thanks to our sponsors and partners for all their support, which includes Foresters and Specsavers. Don't forget about visiting the Christmas market while you're doing your Christmas shopping in Bromley to pick up treats for your loved ones this year" said Councillor Peter Morgan, Executive Councillor for Renewal and Recreation from Bromley Council.
