Removal of Blue Shoes
At Mytime Active we are passionate about supporting our local community and this includes our impact on the environment.
Researchers at Greenpeace have estimated that up to 12 million tonnes of plastic ends up in the ocean every year – that’s the equivalent of a rubbish truck every single minute.
To play our part in limiting the environmental impact of non-recyclable, single use plastics, from 1st March 2024 we will no longer be offering blue overshoes for use in swimming pool and spa facilities.
When using these areas please go barefoot or bring clean alternative footwear such as flip-flops, which have only been worn indoors, to wear in the wet area. Our staff will continue to be on hand to maintain cleanliness, and will regularly check and clean the changing area floors, wherever possible. Benches and buggy parks are available at all centres to help you change out of your shoes.
