Team Bromley celebrates fourth consecutive win

The conclusion of the 2019 London Youth Games saw Team Bromley crowned as Jubilee Champions for the 4th consecutive year.

Over 700 young people who live or go to school locally represented Team Bromley in the 2019 Games. With competitive opportunities for participants aged 7 to 18, from 33 London Boroughs, the Games have been a stepping-stone for many international and Olympic athletes, including Dina Asher-Smith and Raheem Sterling.

Team Bromley took part in 45 competitions across 28 different sports, achieving a personal best of 13 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals. Bromley’s Paralympic teams also saw their best ever year, particularly across athletics, indoor rowing and swimming, securing 24 individual gold medals.

It’s a pleasure to see so many young people participate in physical activity, building relationships and confidence along the way. All of this wouldn’t be possible without our 65 volunteer team managers, who coach and inspire our youngsters to compete to the best of their ability every year."

Every person who represents Bromley in this event receives a free 12-month Mytime Active membership, helping young people to continue training and remain physically active.
